you didnt give me a chance, or am I chopped liver? They are cute in a Silkie sort of way, but just think you could have put 3 REAL eggs in thier place. Then we might have something to look at.

Not necessarily. There is no genetic linkage. In general the bearded birds have been worked on more in the US than the non-bearded.

They do look to have full beards, but it isn't related to the crest. All three look to be splash.

I'm not sure about blue silkies, but the blues that I've hatched (OEGB and dutch mostly) have all been pretty dark. About the only difference between them and the blacks I've hatched is the shade of their dark feathers, as they have both been what looked like black and white. The blues just had a different tint to their black feathers.

I agree that they all look like splash, lucky you!!

Wow THANK You to everyone who's posted here about these cuties! I am soo excited to believe that I probably have all THREE splashes! I Do feel lucky!!!

And the breeder I know she won't mind me revealing her screen name (but be forwarned that her waiting list is getting huge and her birds went broody but she's got a few youngsters maturing so hopefully soon she'll be selling again). I was her first customer to ship eggs out to and she did a WONDERFUL job! none broken so I deffiantly reccomend her when her birds ARE laying again
