Hello! I just got 2 new silkie chicks around 4-5 months old. I know they are notoriously difficult to sex and was wondering if anyone had opinions on what they could be!

Are you sure they are 4-5 months old? They look younger than that closer to 2-3 months. If they are that age I’d say pullets based on lack of comb and my cockerels are usually crowing around 4 months old.

Ahh yes you’re right, it must have been another bird I got at the same time. They are 3 months! Thank you for the input though I’ll know what to look for when they are a bit older!
