Silkie Chicks

Hey everyone! We just picked up four chicks on Sunday -- 3 silkies and 1 showgirl. We were told they were a day old. We lost one silkie chick on Tuesday and today our showgirl doesn't look like she's doing well... very lethargic and isn't as active as yesterday. Not sure what is happening? We have the heat lamp on their box, water, chick starter, a couple branches that the two remaining silkies are enjoying jumping on. What can i do?

Remove the branches (possibly toxic or may have something on them; pesticides) and anything else not strictly needed. Sterilize everything else. Consider using antibiotics.

Do your research, but it sounds like they could have coccidiosis...
