Are silkie chicks slow growers in comparison to other bantams?

My brother in law has silkies in his mixed flock. They are the only bantams that he has, but they feathered out and grew as fast as the other birds, only they are smaller, being a bantam.

2 of them are growning nicely, the other I think may be a miniature!

My silkies almost appear to grow more slowly, mostly because it's difficult to distinguish the feathers from the fluff, which makes them look younger, in my opinion. As long as they are eating, drinking, doing healthy chick things, nothing to worry about.

Makes sense! These guys I have hatched at the same time and one is definitely either a mini or the runt.

If you think it needs some help growing, you could give it some Poultry Nutri-Drench. That helped out my Serama runt quite a bit.
