Silkie cochin mix not pooping.

Don't try to worm her until you have got that crop sorted and she is eating normally again. Putting wormer into her crop when it is blocked will not achieve anything, so try not to worry about the worms right now and just focus on getting the crop working properly.

My suggestion was to get a catheter and syringe and feed the tube down into her crop to irrigate/flush it. Since you don't sound like you have got one I would try her with some sugar water as that may tempt her to drink and just dip her beak in it to hopefully get her started. I think syringing fluids into their mouth is very risky as water can easily end up going down the wind pipe if she struggles. Just offer her the sugar water and very sloppy feed..... no solid feed.... and keep massaging regularly. Did you get much up when you vomited her and did she cooperate. The initial idea of vomiting her is to make room in her crop so that the normal massage is more effective. You want to be palpitating it a bit like a stress ball, just firmly but gently kneading it and trying to break up the contents.
I will try giving her some sugar water. And no I didn't get anything up with the vomiting, but once I got her to drink some water her crop was less hard as rock. She is pooping regular now though, besides the worms.

I tried vomiting her this morning and she actually spit something up! It was brown half digested grass I suppose... I would have a picture but my phone is not letting me import images. :/
update: her crop is twice as small now! she is getting better! All I need now is to get her to drink water.

I want to thank all who helped me. If it wasn't for this website I may have not been able to help her. Just hope she will be okay and start drinking water!

Hi again

Are you managing to get sloppy food moving through her system now. I've had to massage some hens for as long as 2 weeks and keep them on just sloppy food and no access to grass or anything fibrous to completely clear it, so don't be tempted to stop treatment until you are confident that things are operating smoothly again and that crop is completely emptying overnight. If they are getting plenty of fluids mixed in with their food, then they don't need to drink water as well, especially if she is not laying eggs (and she will not lay eggs until she is back to full health and condition).... as eggs are made up of quite a high percentage of water, so don't worry too much about her not drinking much, as long as it is available. Too much sugar/salt or ACV in the water will also discourage them from drinking so don't over do it with those.... just a tiny amount.

She finally started drinking water on her own today so I am not worrying about that anymore. And don't worry, I will keep feeding her sloppy food and massaging her crop till I am 100% sure she is fully healed.
