Hey guys! Brand new in the chicken game. What do you all think? Cockerel or Pullet?

At this age, behaviour can sometimes give you more hints than physical development:
Stands upright and alert when there's a sudden loud noise = cockerel, crouches = pullet;
Engages in chest-bumping play fights, generally more assertive, chases others around = cockerel;
more aloof or shy of being handled = pullet.
But each bird has its own personality - there are tomboy pullets and shy cockerels!

Of all my chickens, the Silkies are among the most difficult to sex for sure until they crow or lay an egg. Yours looks pretty young. It may be a while before you are certain. Typically the roos' "poofs" are not as rounded as the pullets. The roos' "poofs" are more angled or have more spikes. But even that is hard to tell at times, and it takes time for their crests to grow in. In addition, the roos tend to be larger than the pullets (if they're the same age). In any case, my silkie roos have been wonderful--real gentlemen and brave despite their size. Have fun and welcome to the wonderful world of chickens!

Here's my silkie cross Pekin rooster Habakkuk:

2 days:

One month (note how he looked straight into the camera, the pullets looked away):

6 weeks:

Crowing at 6 weeks.
Crabwalking up my arm like a parrot to try to sit on my shoulder (dominant!)
9 weeks:no mistaking he's a boy

Now at 11 weeks he stands guard over the other chicks that hatched with him; he tries unsuccessfully to dominate the adult hens; he chest-bumps our 16-year-old dog's (Maltese-cross-shih tzu) rear end, ducks and puffs himself out in a threatening posture in front of her, and chases her (although he's probably one tenth of her weight). She despises him.
