These Silkies have really thrown me for a loop! I'm not 100% sure anymore that Mr. Chatterbox is indeed a cockerel. At 18 weeks old, he's unbelievably tiny in comparison with my other Silkie boys, not to mention sorely lacking in the comb/wattle department.
Scale shown here by a Salmon Faverolles bantam and Leghorn. I'd say Chat is about 3/4 the size of my Silkie pullets.
A White Silkie cockerel from the same line, who was significantly larger, and looked much "manlier" at 17 weeks of age:
Or perhaps he's just a late bloomer?
