Silkie Coop Size

I know for bigger birds the general rule of thumb is 4 square feet of floor space per bird. I was wondering about sillkie though as they are a smaller breed. What size coop do they requier

Go with at least 3 square feet of space per bird, although as always more is better. If you can do four square feet, do it.

My silkie coop is 4'x 4' sqaure, 52" tall at the top front of roof, and is plenty of room for 2 silkies, 1 bantam and a Buff Orpington. They free range during the day, so I think it would house 5-6 silkies/bantam comfortably. The bantam sleeps in the rafter of the roof.
