Hi, everyone! I've been MIA from BYC for months as I'm trying to move. It's been a nightmare! And what's worse is that I've been a bad chicken mama because I've been spending so much time packing and traveling.... No bueno.
So I have Violet, a Silkie who is - surprise! - broody. She does a good job of getting off the nest and taking care of herself, so I've kinda just let her go. It's been just over a week.
But today, I took her off the nest to give her a good looking over. She has a bald spot on the back of her head. Does this look like rooster damage or pests? I will look more for creepy crawlies after dark, but I'd appreciate opinions. Sorry for the pic. My phone sucks.
