Here is my little silkie mix named chi chi. Her daddy is a RIR. She got his coloring but is shaped like her momma. Shes the sweetest girl.

well a cornish cross is breed to grow fast in a short amount of time, if you raise them past the average slaughter date they often get so big they can't walk, what kind of chicken are you trying to get by breeding them?

did he have the 5 toes or just 4?
and did he have black skin?

Extra toes, dark skin, feathered legs, small crest, beard. About the only thing he got from the BO was the single comb and regular feathers. I had others that were missing toes, didn't have a crest, had really weird combs.

thanks so much we hatched some eggs from our BO crossed with a silkie and i was trying to figure out which chicks came from them

I have four silkie cross somethings, one is a rooster and he is INSANE, i also have three frizzled houdan silkie something mixes, and their really flighty, but that could be because we got them when they were 7 weeks old

2 week old Silkie x polish. Almost all have vaulted skulls splash/paint colors, black skin and 5 toes most already showing feathered legs.
Anyone know if they can be sexed earlier since they are polish cross?

Polkies, cute! I don't think they can sexed much earlier, Polish are just as hard as Silkies!
