Silkie Egg laying habbits

I purchased 2 silkies about 6-7 weeks ago, a rooster and a hen, The person I got them from said the hen had just started laying. She has not layed 1 egg since I got her. I looked at her feet to see owl she looked, and they looked pretty old. Is it normal for them not to lay for this long?

First it can be age factor, second can be stressed, third, change of diet? 4th weather change? and last are they molting? any of these could be why she is not laying eggs.
