Hi everyone, 2nd time hatching here. First batch Ive set in my new incuview.
I got a dozen silkie hatching eggs from someone local. I candled this morning (which would be halfway through day 7) and they all( just the silkie eggs, I have other breeds in this hatch) look a little strange to me. Can anyone tell me what they think?
It looks like there’s a large vacant space on one long side of the egg.
I do see veins though

That egg looks beautiful. The embryo will get bigger and fill the space. If you have the correct humidity temp in your incubator you and it is turning you shouldn't have to worry about it at all.

It is so tempting to candle constantly the first hatch ever. Try not to though. I have had a 100% percent hatch rate from my eggs after I figured out to leave them alone.

PHew, I had never noticed it before on my other eggs but that’s a relief haha
I’ve been trying not not candle as much on this batch.
Good to have a second opinion Thank you! :)
