I know how you feel. I jusy set my Silkies this morning. Im a day behind you. I put a picture of baby silkies above my bator to make it even worse. I wish you luck. Im gona start a quilt to try and pass the time.

BTW, it's probably good (like you said) to wait til they're grown to bite chickens, but for heavens' sake don't let the silkies bite you first! Otherwise every full moon you will sprout hairy feathers on your back and go all broody wanting to hatch silkie eggs...
This morning before I left for work the main control temp said 37.6c.
My flukers (junk) said 100.4f @ 36% humidity. I haven't set up the
wet bulb but those thermometers both say 99-100.
I did give each egg a kiss goodbye. They like that.
