They might if they had anything, but they dont. They have barely changes since little babies. That why i am still hoping girls. The biggest sign for me is the tails. They look all roo-like on at least 2 of the splash's. But could a boy this old have no comb or waddles yet?

I would think you'd start to see a comb if they were boys by now. Can't really rely on wattles in Silkies since most bearded Silkies have but a smidgen of wattle. I would go with ladies.

Hi Sara.....you should send me an email with the email you want me to use. My computer crashed the other day and i lost EVERYTHING!!! I went out the same day and got a new one but i need to get addresses again.
I cant wait to see your silkie pic.

Good luck with sexing... I'm jumping you thread a little here and I apologize,
I have three little young black ones(maybe 18 weeks old-just a guess).. well... The biggest one is sort of laced with silver... like maybe a mix of cochin. The laced one has a comb and waddles (and much longer streamers than any in the photos that you posted) as well as large legs, more upright posture and a thicker mantle. I am assuming this is roo. The other two black ones have finer legbones and are smaller. They don't have long feathers developing in the crests but the larger of these two is starting to develope waddles and I'm hoping this isn't a roo also. They were all three supposed to be hens.

What's confusing to me is my white silkie hen. She has a walnut comb and I didn't think the hens had them. I know she's a hen. She's laying. So silkie hens have combs also...?

any responses would be appreciated.

I think thats what makes it so tough........a boy can have no comb or waddles it seems, and a hen can get them pretty big....for a hen. It seems that for show quality they have been bred out to an extreme. The silkies i got are from a farm and nobody is or was breeding for that reason. It just seems to have happened.
For those of us with limited space and 'no rooster' laws......that is stressful. I wish i lived where i could not worry about it. I am not supposed to have ANY ROO's.......mypetchicken sent me 2

Then if i had to guess.....i would put my money on all 3 of the splash i have being boys
