I have 10 8-wk old silkies from Bobbie Porto. They are so precious! I'm starting to see some real differences in them. I know it's way too early to determine sex, but I thought maybe some silkie experts could advise what I should be looking for.
What specific things do you look for in a male silkie? A female? I've noticed that some of my silkies are really fluffy in the breast/neck area and some have taller, more pointy crests. I have one adorable splash that is just a round snowball. The other splash is more elongated.
I'm hoping to get some general guidelines so I can sit, dream, watch and start figuring it all out! These are my very first chickens so everything is new and exciting!
I also have 5 white silkies and one Showgirl in my garage that are 2 weeks old so this is good practice!!!
