Silkie feathers?

After seeing the adorable Silkies, and showing the fiance.. He wants some! That is when we can obtain them.

I have to ask though, do their feathers feel like feathers.. or more like fur? They look so fuzzy, that I imagine them feeling like that yarn that is really fuzzy at Joann Fabrics.

Does anyone have a picture of their feather compared to a normal chicken feather?

Don't have pics to compare, but yes, they are soft. Have you ever seen an Ostrich boa? Kind of like that.

Here is a pic of two of my young Silkie boys at 10 1/2 weeks old. They get fluffier as they grow! They do have some "hard" feathers in the wings and tails. Look at the one on the left, see the hard feather in the wing? Now look at the other feathers!
