This is our only silkie. We got her in February. She’s roughly 3-5 months old. I’ve been scouring the silkie threads looking for help to determine the gender. We are thinking hen but I'm not sure! I tried to get a good amount of photos to help others with more experience in identifying gender.

Your silkie looks like a pullet . By no means am I an expert but my 5 month old silkies had combs like that. Should start laying eggs soon .The roosters combs were much bigger. I hope this helped you out .

Thank you!! I love reading these threads to learn more. She has a few new feathers in the back I was worried we’re streamers. She’s very gentle and honestly, kind of a wimp so no aggressive behavior. She needs to be with her best friend at all times 😂

Most silkies are like that very gentle and will have a best buddy. I have a satin naked neck silkie hen and a frizzle naked neck silkie hen that are inseparable. If I had any silkies close to the 5 month age I would have sent you pictures to help you see the difference between pullet and rooster.
