Silkies are new to me so I just want to confirm this is s boy before I get rid of it. 6 weeks old.

Too early to tell. I don’t see any obvious signs it is a cockerel.
How old are they before you can start to see the differences? I thought girls get puffier heads so that’s mostly what I’m going on for this one. Here is a better picture of it’s comb at 4 weeks.

It’s hard to say. Sometimes you can tell real young like this and sometimes not until they are closer to a year. I’d say around 4-5 months you should have a pretty good idea. Post an updated pic in about a month. Maybe then I can tell.
