Silkie Gender?

Hi all, I recently bought 2 little white silkies, wondering if they are old enough to tell their gender?

You should also post profile shots of their whole body. A lot of Silkie sexing is determined by the whole body stance. And we need to know the ages.

Having said that, I'll add, I am not a Silkie expert, so take my guesses with a grain of salt...

However, the top one has a pretty good walnut comb started, with a straight up pom, so may be a roo.
The bottom one has a big poofy pom, and may be a girl.

BUT...you would need to give ages and body profile photos to let the experts have a decent chance to guess.

The large comb one I would guess male and I agree need better pics it's hard to tell from what you posted

Chicken A could possibly be a male but I have a few female silkies, full grown, that have a bigger combs than the others. I am 95% sure chicken B is a female but like as said in the first post, age is a factor you have to take in.

Thanks for the replies, they are both 11-12 weeks old. Managed to take a few more pics of them:

I'm guessing 1 roo (the top left) and 1 pullet.

But again, I'm not the best at Silkie sexing and they can be hard to sex.

The left one, other than the larger comb, is not as upright as it could be for a roo, so there is hope it could be a girl.

The other one really looks pullet to me... a big low pillow cushion.

My thoughts. Hopefully experienced Silkie raisers will step in to oppose or confirm.
