Is the black EE pullet pure EE or half and half. If any of your chicks get those feathers, the dad is my Silkie rooster, Lippy. His feathers do that for some reason, but he's pure silkie. His son "Mae" has that too. The genetic trait might have been passed on to a silkie/ee mix which mated with a pure ee.

That was my 10 week old pullet. This one, Lavender, was one I ordered from Ideal in April. I haven't really had much luck with lavenders at all.

Yeah she is the black EE/Silkie mix that looks like Raven. I thought that it might be a genetic trait. So odd that shes so black w/ rust colored markings and the new chick is pure white, but they have the same dad?

I really don't plan on having any roos, so I won't be breeding them. I have you to buy chicks and eggs from

I'm positive that the white is a pullet. Are you looking for good quality breeding stock or pet quality? I have a red pullet and a partridge hen that I might sell, but their pet quality.

I bet those splashes cost you a pretty penny. My friends think I'm crazy for how much I'm willing to pay for a chicken. I say, "Its just like buying a $1200 dog from the pet store, but its a chicken. lol"

I have a 1 yr old Golden Retriever! He is an 85-90lb hyper ox! Guess thats what I get for picking the largest male!

Do they ever calm down? Where's those nice sedate ones you see laying in peoples yards, never leaving their owners sides? lol I can't even take him for walks on a leash because he about rips my arms out of their sockets! He eats anything he can get his mouth on! I totally can't wait til he's about 5 yrs old or so.
