Is the black EE pullet pure EE or half and half. If any of your chicks get those feathers, the dad is my Silkie rooster, Lippy. His feathers do that for some reason, but he's pure silkie. His son "Mae" has that too. The genetic trait might have been passed on to a silkie/ee mix which mated with a pure ee.
