Silkie hardiness question

Hello, I would like to know how hardy are Silkies? I live in northern IL so need to know.

I live in western ky and we had some pretty cold days with nasty windchills and my girls did fine. i just add an extra layer of shavings to the coop in the winter time and everyone snuggles close when it's cold and it's actually not that cold in the coop the key is having a draft free coop

We live in central ohio and housed our silkies in the barn with no problems this past winter...hope this helps
