Silkie Hatch-A-Long 2015

I got my eggs today, they were packaged so securely no broken ones. I have them resting for 24 hrs before I set them in the incubator due to some loose air cells. I plan to leave the turner off for the first day to try and get the air cells to attach better. I am so excited.
Wow you are doing all the right things. Good job. I know how difficult it is to be so patient. Best of luck with your hatch.

Thanks. I have read and re read the 101, dry incubating, how to hatch everything I can find in the learning section lol. It's my first time so I wrote out post it notes to keep my on track each day AND dedicated my big desk calender to track my progress. My ocd will finally pay off I hope. I just can't find any silkie chicks here locally.

The one that pipped hatched, the others didn't. We had 1 late quitter and the rest were positioned in the egg wrong and couldn't pip :(
I had to run to tsc and get the lonely chick some friends

awwww man..

Sorry about that- glad you were able to get the baby some buddies.

Thanks, i ended up getting week old silkies, since TSC had too many they were selling the older ones for $1 each. They have been pretty accepting of the smaller baby and he is doing well with them.
