Silkie Hatching Eggs Came in today !!! Who else is setting this week ??

I set 21 last week. My first time too!! Hatch date is Dec. 14!!

I've lost 5 already. 3 were clears and I accidentally dropped 2!! I think I have 2 more clears, but I'm gonna give them a few more days because those are blue eggs. Overall though, I currently have 14 that are developing and look good and one of those is a double yolk with twin embryo's. That's gonna be a tough one, especially for a newbie like me. I'm currently researching all that I can, to learn more about assisting a twin hatch.

I will have crosses from my Rhode Island Red rooster and White Leghorns, Golden Comets, and EE hens. Good luck to everyone!! I'm sure I will have lots of questions too! I am a nervous wreck already.....2 more weeks seems like an eternity.

Right now is day 10. I had 2 silkie eggs with no development and 1 EE mix egg with no development. I can see my 6 remaining silkies are developing nicely and at the rate they should be. I think I have 1 EE mix egg that gave up on day 4. I have 11 more days and so far so good but i wont count my chicks before they hatch. Good luck to everyone. It's so exciting going through this journey with people I don't feel so alone.
