No. They don’t seem to be picking on him or anything. And when I separate him, he looks stressed like he wants to get back to his ladies.

I was trying to rule out if some of his behavior was stress due to separation.

Sometimes it seems to me like cockerels/roos don’t eat as much and often like to let the ladies eat first. Maybe he is just being a gentlemanly boy? I hope so! He is very cute.

Awwww I didn’t know that! That’s good to know and definitely possible. I kept thinking something was wrong with him because the hens would dive immediately for the food but he wouldn’t. Obviously my first roo.
