**SILKIE**Hen getting ready to lay? (Or roo 😭)

Our silkie the day we got her (drove 2.5 hrs to get a started pullet/hen. She is supposed to be 5.5-6 months in this pic. Cleaned her up, treated some foot issues and cleared up some poultry lice. Fast forward to this week (4 weeks later) & she has started singing her bocky-bock song multiple times a day and squats when you pet her back. All seems well... except...

Look at those wattles and that comb! Where did they come from?!?! Is this a late developing roo or is this normal development for a hen getting ready to lay?

It is odd, like a single comb in the front but almost a hybrid looking towards the back. I have heard this is a less desirable recessive gene.
