Hi guys! I have 6 month old silkie that is stumping me on gender. He/she is not crowing, but I have caught him/her erm...*humping* the head silkie hen. There's no courting behavior, no tidbitting, no crowing or shuffle dances. The behavior only seems directed at the one hen. I have the chicken-in-question's hatchmate that is 100% roo in behavior and looks. Just not sure if I have a confused hen or a very sneaky rooster trying to fly under the radar.🤣 Any ideas?

2nd pic the chicken in question is on the right..the other is also a hatchmate but definitely a hen.
Last pic is his/her hatchmate that is definitely a rooster for comparison.

Is it true silkies are much more docile in nature than other chicken breeds?
I know it's not to the point but i wondered how they acted towards each other as we only had one in the past, and i thought you might know...?

They usually are lower in the pecking order, but I’ve had mean silkies and skittish silkies and I’ve only ever had one nice one. It really depends on the bird.
