Hi both of these silkies are 5 months old.
This is my first time with silkies and don't know their gender. I would appreciate some input because I can't have roosters in my area. Thanks so much!

The white one has feathers coming out of her back whereas the black one has more of a rounded, fluffy back.

Thanks again

The white one stands tall like a roo, and has more of a mohawk, and I'm seeing some wattle....I'm leaning rooster on that one.

The black one looks very hen like.

It is hard to tell with Silkies and sometimes you have to wait for an egg or crow.

Generally, males will stand tall, have mohawks, and noticeable comb and wattles.

Females will be squattier, more tear drop shaped, have pom-poms, and nearly no noticeable comb or wattle.
