I have a 4 1/2 to 5 month old silkie porcelain hen. I noticed yesterday that she was swaying her head and neck from side to side. Kinda like in a snake movement. She isn't tucking it behind her or between her legs. She is getting around find, eating, drinking all ok. I feed flock raiser, sunflower heart seeds, safflower, oats, wheat, flax seed. I add wheat germ oil to mixture once a week. Do you think it maybe a vitamin E and selenium deficiency? Any advice would be most appreciated!
All my other silkies that are in the pen with her are fine. They all free range in a big area pen. And inside their bigger pen I have a 25x25 area fenced in where I planed wheat grass for them.
Thanks Gayle

It sounds like she could have wry neck which I have not personally treated, so you may want to do a search on this site on the topic. Some silkies are just more prone to the problem, but I have read that supplements can help treat the problem.
