Silkie in a mixed flock with a large cockerel

I have a young silkie pullet in with my mixed flock. I have 5 pullets (including silkie) and once cockerel who is a production blue and is a big boy. I have read places that having a large rooster with a silkie is not a good idea. I am just wondering if anyone has any advice. I really don’t want to get rid of him as I am just so crazy with my chickens I would be nervous he would get into the wrong hands. Any advice would be great. He is a great cockerel but I just can’t have him hurting or even killing the silkie.

Have a 'Plan B' in mind just in case it does not work. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it does not. Good luck.
