Hello!
I have two silkies, one hen a little over a year old and a pullet about to turn 6 months old. My older gal was just integrated into the flock so she just got back into egg laying. My younger gal has clearly followed suit which I am thankful for. However….
There have been two days this week where I have found three eggs. I check daily so it seems that someone is laying 2 eggs in less than 24 hours. I’m assuming it’s the younger gal cuz the eggs are much smaller. The shells are solid and no other signs of a problem. I know this isn’t normal but I’m wondering if I should be worried since it happened two times in one week. I read online that maturing pullets can lay strange but I don’t want it to be a problem for her down the line.
Anyone else experience this?
