Silkie Laying question

Just a quick question
WIll silkies find a spot to lay at, on their own, or must we show/make one for them?
There Are a bunch or potential spots, but, I dont know where they'd choose.
Help?

Mine picked a spot on her own. She sometimes uses another nest though. I guess it just depends on her mood.

Do they not use nesting boxes? Mine are young and I'm really new at this. I have nesting boxes down pretty low for them to be able to get into.
