Silkie leg problems?

Right foot especially, the nails are quite long and the toes are curling under. Is she walking on her toes and not her foot pads?

Does she have Scaly Leg Mites?
Lice or mites on the body - under wings, around vent, top of head?

Human vitamin B complex or super B complex can be given just in case of a riboflavin deficiency. Crush 1/4 to 1/2 tablet daily and give in a bit of egg or a spoonful of water. Carefully trim overgrown nails with dog nail clippers or a Dremel. Let us know if she has any lice or mites.

No lice or mites. I trim her nails a little at a time because they do bleed even when taking a little off. I clean feet and check for bumblefoot often and she’s never had any problems. She’s always walked just like my other silkies fine until Friday. The foot she was holding out on Friday has started to curl into itself and it’s getting worse each day. Friday I noticed a little curl but yesterday and today is more like she’s “grabbing something”. Her other foot she was using for stability and to limp around on Friday like it wasn’t bothering her at all but today she has it stuck out behind her. She isn’t able to move around near as much as she was Friday. I put electrolytes in her water this morning.

I gave her a bath and dried her. It seemed to relax her a lot. I found this towards her tail. I didn’t notice it before. I do believe she’s in the middle of molting and was before her legs started going out. Maybe it’s from pecking during molt? I’m not sure. We made her a sling she seems a lot more comfortable.

I would wake her before evening, and try to get her drinking. The wound does look a bit bruised like she was pecked. They will peck at a chicken who behaves differently or who cannot walk normally. I hope it is not Mareks disease, but that could be possible.
