Silkie male differences

Can anyone give me some insight on this silkie male? The first photo is of a male someone needs rehomed. The second photo is of my silkie male. They look quite different. The first one has some very long hard tail feathers.

Only one picture is showing - that of a pet/hatchery quality silky.

I guess hatchery roo explains it. But why so different?? I've never seen a silkie roo look like that
