Of course!Could do #1 (name to determined)
Do you know what color the chick might turn out to be?
As the parent group is a mix of colors, I'm not too sure..could be anything

Late to this thread but holy cow, love the EE silkies! I was going to ask where you got them so I could get them too, but then I saw you’re in Germany! That is so cool that some breeders have been doing that over there. A couple of years ago when I wanted to start doing this breeding project, I could only find one breeder in the US who was willing to send me eggs from a hen that she had that laid green eggs.Of course you can wait till then!
I've got a soft spot for the tiny raptors as well
This is a photo from the posting.
I'm from Germany, and I believe that some hobby breeders have bred in the EE gene just for fun.

I was so excited when I found them as well!!Late to this thread but holy cow, love the EE silkies! I was going to ask where you got them so I could get them too, but then I saw you’re in Germany! Thankfully from that, I got two girls that hatched, and one does lay green! But I also started the project from square one as well, using ameraucana bantams. It is still a major work in progress. But I do have lots of adorable mixes who lay blue/green! Here are some pictures of my eggs. At the moment I still don’t have a true “silkie” looking bird that lays blue/green, but some of them are getting a little closer. And some of them are kind of laying a darker tan color so I could use them to maybe get some olive laying silkies. I need a good male that carries the blue egg gene, that is where I have had the most struggle! Whenever I test my male chicks for the blue egg gene, they don’t have it![]()

I'll be candling tonight, so will let you know!Could I name either #2 or #10 if they are developing?

Wow!Here are just a bunch of random pictures. Sadly, and weirdly, most of the ones that are crosses that look more like silkies dont have the blue egg gene, and the ones that look more ameraucana tend to have the blue and green eggs. And weirdly most of the green/blue egg layers are black. There is a paint girl in one of the photos, standing in front of some rolls of fencing. She has a gorgeous blue egg, and looks quite like a silkie, just lacking a crest. Anyways, I am working on lavender as well so most of them carry lavender. That has been the easier project compared to the blue egg gene. I am hoping that by the end of this year I can get more serious about the project!
