Hello,
I am new to BYC. We have a small flock of six birds, two RIRs, a speckled Sussex, a light Brahma, a mutt, and our Silkie. We are new to chickens though my grandparents had them when I was a kid 30+ years ago. Anyway, birds are allowed to free range during the day and return on their own to roost in the evening. Got home around 10 last evening and went down to lock up the coop and noticed the Silkie was laying on the ground outside the coop. I picked her? up and her neck was twisted badly and I feared she had been injured while we were out. I didn't know what to do so I isolated her and waited until morning.
When I got up this morning Socks was much better, walking around the enclosure, feeding, watering, and preening and calling for the others to join in. The only noticeable condition is her neck was cocked to the side a bit and as of an hour ago she's not showing any signs of the crooked neck. I was reading up on wry neck but I'm not sure what's going on. Is this something to worry about or is this a common trait with Silkies? any advice?

Hello and

Sorry, I've no idea what the problem is/was with your chicken, but I'm glad to hear she's better.
