Silkie pair??

I had a black silkie that I thought was a pullet until he crowed at 6 1/2 months old. Looking at your two I am thinking both roos...

the darker has streamers but not much comb and the lighter has a bigger comb and it looks like the start of streamers.

to hoping I am wrong!

Nope, no crowing yet. We just got both of them out of the pen and they are in the yard (I don't know why they like to stay in the pen when the rest go out to free range). Now that both are together, the lighter one seems to be spending more time eating while the darker keeps watch. But just as I said that to hubby, the dark one sad down while the lighter looked around lol. It's a good thing there's nothing really important riding on this!

Both are males.

I see the streamers on the darker buff, and the other buff I can see a couple streamers starting.

How many did you end up hatching out total?
