I moved my girls out to the coop about a week or so ago and am almost done with their run. Everyone seems to be using the roosts I have at different levels and loving them, except for my one Silkie. Do Silkies not like to use roosts?
She should have no problem getting up to even the lowest one since I have ladders to all of them. You can see the inside of the coop here:
On another note.. JuJu (the silkie) is the funniest thing. I'm new to chickens but she is the most mothering thing I have ever seen!! She immediately took on the mother roll to the smallest of my chicks, my Buff O. , and when the little Buff O. (Nugget) would climb up to a roost the Silkie would just chirp and pace back and forth nervously until Nugget came back down. It's hilarious!
