I have a few silkie chicks that have a little white tipped toes. When does that usually go away?? Ohh and when is the earliest you can tell when a bird has split wing? Thanks!!

Depends on how old the chicks are. If the chick hatches with pink tipped toes, it usually goes away within the next couple weeks. If it doesn't go away as the bird ages, I wouldnt use it to breed. Not sure on the age of split wing, since I havent had to deal with it. Just wait until they are all feathered out, sometimes the way the chicks wings feather in it looks like they will have split wing, but once they are fully feathered they have normal wings.
