Silkie Roo can not stand up......

That is probably why he isn't walking, he is enjoying the royal treatment.

I am at a loss as to what it could be. But, if he is trying to stand up now, that has to be a good sign.

He could have gotten a nerve damage very easy, which would explain why he will not stand up. Or he popped something in his hip.
The only suggestions i can give is the ones i stated above in the other posts.
He may never get better once pampered always pampered, lol
but really i hope he will get better for you, and that is a great chicky momma to to take care and spoil him for as long as it takes.

Good Morning!
Thanks for the help and suggestions, we are still hanging in there, me and Chewy.
He has had his breakfast, [now I need mine] and he seems content.
I haven't rigged any kind of sling or box for him, I may be wrong but I'm thinking that he is more comfortable sitting on the soft hay, and he is not laying on his side or anything, not having trouble staying upright.
I know how easy it is to bruise the breastbone or make it sore.
Since he isn't active I don't want him to get "bedsores"

I am not having trouble keeping him clean and I life him and let him sort of exercise his legs several times a day, a lot really.
I can say one thing for sure, he eats and drinks good, poops good, and seems in good spirits.
Since he is in my office he is always warm and has company. The cat likes him and sits with him quietly.
I can't wait till the sun comes out and he can get some outside time to soak up the sun.

Wish you could see this boy devour those eggs!!!!
All other birds still very healthy and active. It's been 10 or 11 days now.
Tell me if anyone thinks I'm wrong about what I'm doing for him or how I'm handling this.
Thanks for the help and concern!
Cheryl

It sounds like you are doing such a great job, i guess as long as his legs dont go to the sides, or seem broken or sprained then he is good to be confortable.

Coloring is fine I think, I really thought his comb was much lighter before...now it is normal Silkie color.
His eyes still bright and dark brown.

I just went and checked everyone else...they are doing great!
I'm not happy with the damp weather and trying to keep the chicken house bedded down in dry material....it's a JOB!
The sun did come out though, and the windows in the chicken house are making it warm and bright.
The youngest ones still have heat lamp and they are up off the floor and plenty dry.

Chewy is having brunch...man I never knew any chicken could eat as much as he does!

If he don't get well it sure won't be from lack of trying!
He is fast becoming my FAVORITE Silkie of all. Gives me new respect into the nature and heart of a Silkie. What a wonderful breed of chicken
