Rounded crest and body shape.
A lot will depend on the age of this bird.

I'm not very experienced with silkies, but to me that looks like a little hen. I'm actually very jealous. I'd love to find a stray silkie hen on the side of the road, that little lady would come home with me.

Definitely have not heard any crowing at all. Our rooster isn’t at all interested in or bothered by Barry (Berryl?) either (but then Mighty Mouse is completely non-assertive, so that doesn’t mean anything). Either way, unless Barry/Berryl starts getting bullied, we’re keeping him/her, so we’ll find out when we hear crowing or find a different egg!
I’ll try to pop in an update when anything new comes about
