This is my almost a year old rooster the dark lord (I was watching the chilling adventures of Sabrina when naming him and our huge sapphire hen Lilith as babies lol)he I guess is a mini pure black silkie and since around the time he became fully grown he had this lump like thing.
( and we’ve never had much issues with chickens having mites besides when I was young. That's when I did 4H)
Anywho, we noticed this lump on darklord's foot. We had noticed it awhile back but was unsure if we needed to do any abnormal procedure on it. But than we noticed it getting larger. So we decided to remove some of the feathers stuck in this lump. And noticed white solid like pus? We disinfected the holes where the feather clumps were and gave him a few espon salt baths. But we aren't sure if there is more material needing to be removed? Or just more baths and care of the affected area.
Any advice or experiences with this issue would be very helpful!
