Silkie rooster

Being that silkies are a more passive breed, will our new silkie rooster be enough to keep the bully-hens in check? One of them keeps going after our silkie pullets, and we don't know if the rooster among them will stand up for the lot of them.

Mine is still young and has a birth defected foot, so im not sure if all silkie roos are like him. That being said my little buddy is too sweet to stop anything. I have an ameracauna (prob spelled wrong) roo that were depending on to keep things in check. Just hoping the day doesnt come where he fights my silkie because my buddy has no chance of winning that fight. lol
