One of my serama chicks has different feathers. They aren't obviously arranged pinnately, but are rather stringy looking. But, they aren't soft like my silkie chicken I once had, either. Is there a halfway silkie plumage that seramas can have? I'll upload a better photo when I get home. I'm at work right now :)

Looks rather like typical Silkie feathering to me.

A few more pictures where you can see the feathers better.

My friend has two mature house chicken silkied seramas, from a breeder. She expected them to be silkie feathers with a serama size and body. She was very disappointed to find they just have kinda stringy feathers - not at all soft and full like a silkie. They are very robust chickens - BIG chickens in very small bodies.
