Hello, I’m thinking this little one is a male. Pretty feisty, not much for a crown but has a comb and little wattles coming in. Thoughts please? I can have roosters where I live. Approximately 6 weeks old. Thanks!

That is definitely a male, but he doesn't look quite like a silkie. Perhaps a hybrid of some sort? I don't own silkies though so someone else will probably have to chime in on that.

Agreeing with above post ^ Probably a male, but definitely not full silkie. Silkies have head poofs, black skin, and they have 4 toes on each foot (I can't quite tell how many toes from pics)

Most likely a cockerel. He’s not a Silkie. Maybe he’s a Silked Cochin.

Yeah-he was a freebie when I picked up my Faverolles. Holds his own against the Faverolles!

I figured he was a mix of some sort. He came as an extra when I picked up my Faverolle chicks.
