Hello everyone, my silkies are growing up now and i’ve noticed that 2 of them actually have a pink comb and wattle, or a mixture between. Silkies are supposed to have the purple/black colouring i thought. Has anyone come across this or know why?
On a side note, can anyone tell me the colour of the last full body photo of the 2 silkies? I can’t figure out between splash or paint etc. Would these make a good rooster for the flock if I am wanting to get a variety of colours? Thanks!

That happens sometimes. They are missing one of the genes that makes the comb & wattles black.

If you want Silkies for showing or for breeding good quality Silkies, it is a problem. If you just want them for pets, it is only a problem if it bothers you. It certainly won't bother them.

Unfortunately I can't help with that part, but hopefully someone else will.
