OLD post resurrection...sorry... nothing else fits this...
I have 4 silkie chicks; 5 days old; pendulum says 3 boys 1 girl. (other threads say it's BS; it isn't; it's the intuition of the wielder, usually very sub-conscious, and may be subject to what one wants the result to be). Just like dowsing for water, or oil. My Grandpa did very well dowsing for Oil in his day, so I hope I got the gene for this.
The 'girl' has a bigger crest (I know, prob not a girl thing, more of a quality thing, right?) and is taller (and was first to hatch). The 'boys' occasionally run and 'flutter' at eachother, or at nothing, as if they were sparring.
Turning over, the 'girl' relaxed, the boys resisted.
Waving a scarf; they all ran. Will try it earlier on the next batch.
I heard that Silkies may hatch out 60-70% male. True?
Thanks
Will update when they prove what they are.
