I know it’s near impossible to sex a silkie until they crow or lay an egg. How about just for fun?
Nugget- 7 weeks old, largest, very docile, slow, calm, almost silent. Dark buff
Buttercup- 7 wks, has two defined “poofs” on head, light buff/ slight partridge coloring starting to come in, squawks loud whenever picked up, flighty with people

Snowball- tiny 5 weeker, very sociable with all other chicks, my Ameraucana HATES him/her, shy with people, most adventurous/curious to try out new things in the brooder. Squawks loudly when you pick pick up the other two silkies.

I will definitely post updated pics as they grow. I'll also update when I get any sort of confirmation (crowing or eggs!). We can't have roosters in my town, so we're crossing our fingers for pullets!

is the first pic of snowball it looks like the beak is off?
Nugget and Snowball both have crooked beaks. Snowball's doesn't look as bad as the pic above, but she had a little wet sand stuck in the pic, which made the beak look even MORE crooked than it already is.

On that topic- are crooked beaks a common thing with silkies?
