Silkie sexing (I know it’s basically impossible but curious if anyone has any guesses!) (2 birds)

Hi there! I have 2 silkies I got locally one is pure white and one is a paint silkie.

I’m guessing the white one is a Hen & the paint one is a Roo because they look so different and the paint one seems larger. I’m curious what others opinions are.

Either way, I’ll love them just the same but I’m still itching to know!

They are around 14 weeks.

I was thinking the paint was a cockerel and the white was a pullet too. Can you feel for spurs? Sometimes that can be a way of sexing. The cockerel's spurs will have a bit of a point to it (and possibly some color to it if it's starting to grow). The hen's spurs will be dull and match their shanks, being almost non-existent.

Here is a picture of my silkies so you can decide. In my opinion it's almost impossible to sex by spurs. I usually sex them by their fluff on their head. I am also thinking that the paint is a cockerel and the white one a hen. I usually figure out the sex of my silkies by 5 months.

Interesting, that seems reliable. That is exactly what my silkie rooster looked like.
