Look like hens to me with the bonnet shaped crest. No sign of long hackle feathers or redness in the comb or waddles. How old are they?
This lil one is so cute! Porcelain or splash? Stance looks like a hen, crest isn't grown in enough to determine if it is swept back or going to be full and poofy and no visible signs of red comb or waddles. Could be a pullet at this point IMO.
I agree.Splash is a girl & the black looks like a boy .....
so if they get red combs are they generally a roo? I am saying generally cuz i'm sure there are exceptions to everything out there...have some developing red combs... exciting times!!!!
ah nuts, so what color are they supposed to be, it's not exactly red I guess, I better take a picture..... it's just starting to show up... it's not blue/black tho I know that for sure, are pink hues to it. I guess I was going by the postings above about red combs and such, just generalizing.... the one it's showing up on I had pegged for a hen too....Red combs are not a desirable trait in showing and can occur in hens.
